Kin-Chuen Hui received the BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 1979.  He worked for the local industry in the period from 1979 to 1985.  He joined the University of Hong Kong in 1985 as a research assistant and as a part-time PhD student.  He was awarded the PhD degree in 1990 for his work in solid modelling.  He joined the Hong Kong Productivity Council in 1986 and was one of the founders of their CAD Services Centre.  Since, 1992, he has been with the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  He is now on the Editorial Board of the Computer-Aided Design Journal. He is a Chartered Engineer, a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, a member of the British Computer Society, the Hong Kong Computer Society, and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.  His research interests include computer graphics, geometric and solid modelling, virtual reality, and their applications.
